What this website is

This site describes SIAS services and publishes general guidance on studying abroad from Sri Lanka. It is written to help you understand your options and ask better questions. It is not personal advice about your own application, and it is not legal or immigration advice.

Personal advice starts in a consultation, where we look at your actual transcripts, budget and timeline. Nothing on this website is a substitute for that.

Accuracy of what you read here

We check the destination information, entry requirements, intake dates and visa notes on this site against published sources, and we update them. Even so, immigration rules, tuition fees and university entry requirements change without notice and sometimes without an announcement.

Before you act on anything here, check the primary source. Our guides link directly to the relevant authority for exactly this reason. Where our pages and a government or university source disagree, the government or university source is right.

Tuition is quoted the same way on every destination page, because it varies by university and by programme rather than by country. Any figure you see quoted elsewhere as a national range is an average, not a price.

What we can and cannot promise

We can prepare and submit a strong application. We cannot guarantee an offer from any university, the award of any scholarship, or the grant of any visa. Those decisions belong to universities, funders and immigration authorities, and no consultancy that tells you otherwise is being straight with you.

If any part of this website reads as a guarantee of an outcome, it is not one and is not intended as one.

Using the forms

The consultation and partner forms are for genuine enquiries. Do not use them to send us documents containing your passport number, financial account details or national identity number. If we need those, we will ask for them separately.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile and a rate limit to keep automated submissions out. Submitting repeatedly in a short period will be blocked temporarily.

Content on this site

The text, layout, brand marks and structure of this site belong to SIAS. You are welcome to read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it. You may not republish it wholesale as your own.

Photographs on this site are used under Creative Commons licences and are credited with their photographer and licence beside each image. Those photographs belong to their photographers, not to us, and their licences travel with them.

Links out

We link to universities, government departments and funding bodies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they say or do. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Availability

We try to keep the site up and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available or error free.

Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Beyond that, SIAS is not liable for loss arising from your reliance on general guidance published here rather than on personal advice, or on a primary source we have linked to. This is not us disclaiming our advice; it is us saying that a page written for every reader cannot account for your particular case, which is what the consultation is for.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is the one on this page, dated below.
