About SIAS

SIAS is an education consultancy advising Sri Lankan students on studying abroad, with offices in Colombo, Iowa and London. We cover twelve destinations and guide students through choosing a course, applying, funding it, the visa, and settling in after arrival.

Who we are

SIAS, which stands for Strategic Inspiration for Achieving Success, is a global education consultancy. Our global headquarters is in Iowa in the United States, with regional offices in London and in Colombo, which is the office serving students across Sri Lanka.

We help students identify the right country, university and programme by weighing what actually matters: academic background, ambitions, budget and long-term career direction. Where a plan does not add up, we say so, because a deferred plan that succeeds is worth more than a rushed one that runs out of money abroad.

Vision and mission

Vision

Inspiration into achievement

To inspire and empower students to pursue their ambitions through global education, creating pathways that turn an opportunity into a career.

Mission

Guidance from first question to first term

To make global education simpler, more accessible and more achievable for every student, with trusted guidance from choosing a programme through to enrolment, funding and settling in.

What we value, and what we do about it

Five commitments, each with the practice that backs it up.

  • Transparency

Clear, honest and reliable guidance at every stage, with no hidden agendas.

Your shortlist states the published tuition, the entry requirement and the reason each institution is on it, in writing, so your family can read it and argue with it.

  • Learning and sharing

We keep learning, share what we know, and grow alongside our students.

Visa and funding rules change. We check the current published requirement for your destination at the time you apply rather than quoting what was true last intake.

  • Strengthening inclusion

Opportunities that are accessible and welcoming to students of every background.

The first consultation is free and carries no obligation, in person in Colombo or online for students anywhere in Sri Lanka.

  • Integrity

Doing what is right, ethical and responsible in every recommendation.

Partner status does not buy a place on your shortlist, and we do not recommend a pathway programme to a student who already qualifies for direct entry.

  • Empowerment

Giving students the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions.

We interview you and edit your drafts rather than writing your statement for you, because the version that survives an admissions officer is the one in your own voice.

One journey, one partner

We look past your next course, toward the future it is building.

  • Advice shaped around your record

Your grades, your budget and where you want to be working in five years, weighed together. Never a generic checklist.

  • Twelve destinations, compared honestly

One comparison across all twelve on entry requirements, total cost, intake dates and post-study work rights, so the trade-off is visible.

  • Support from first question to first term

Counselling, applications, funding, visa and arrival. The same people stay with the case throughout rather than handing it on.

  • We say when the answer is no

If the funding does not add up or you should wait an intake, that is the advice you get. A deferred plan that succeeds beats a rushed one that fails abroad.

  • Written down, not promised

Shortlists, budgets, visa evidence requirements and work rules all arrive in writing, because a promise you cannot re-read is not much use at 2am.
